Their donation is a painting by their classmate—and artist—Seton McGlennon, who captured their class memories on canvas. The painting will be displayed in a place of honor at the high school. Several classmates will make a public presentation of the gift at the Board of Education Meeting on Monday, October 11, at 7 pm at 434 Millburn Avenue.
McGlennon created the painting in her North Carolina studio. Her signature art has been an Oprah’s Favorite Thing, has been featured in People Magazine and in Southern Living, and includes a White House commission and has found a home in collections world-wide.
McGlennon is known for her paintings that “spin any story, event or occasion into a heartfelt original, as moments truly yours spring to life once again.”
In Memories of Millburn High School 1969, there is so much to discover that McGlennon created a “Can you Find?” key.
McGlennon is selling a canvas print of the painting, as well as a set of notecards, showcasing assorted designs from the original.
