Superintendent's Corner

Welcome to the Millburn Township Public Schools

Welcome to the Millburn Township Public Schools

As the Superintendent of this outstanding school district, I take pride in the
dedication and support of our students, staff and school community that sustain the continuing excellence of our exceptional schools.

To plan for the ‘21- 22 school year, our overarching goal for the year is as follows:
To keep staff and students safe and physically present in school.

The guiding principles used throughout this process include evidence-based decision-making that is embedded into our work and serves as a guide. Decisions are made based on feedback from the community, administrators, and educators in consultation with the Department of Health and our group of medical professionals.  Our conversations are inclusive of many stakeholders throughout the summer in preparation for the start of the new school year.

Parents, staff, and students should be assured that we do take into consideration all of the feedback through conversations, emails, and phone calls that we receive. The key decisions are being made with the best available information to promote the academic, social and physical well-being of our students and staff utilizing health
professionals in all of the decisions. The district is committed to continuously improving and adapting our programs and services as new information presents itself and as we receive feedback. All of this information has the safety and well-being of staff and students always as the top priority of importance.

As stated in the NJDOE Health and Safety Guidance, The Road Forward, all of the planning and decisions must provide for the health and safety of all staff and students to be in school for a full day, full time and in-person.

Our Health and Wellness along with the 2021-22 webpages have links to community resources and hotlines that are available 24 hours a day. The Millburn High School Student Center also provides support for students and families who may be struggling with anxiety and stress, depression or just need some time to talk.

These websites are designed to provide information to our community, as well as current and future school families.
