General Voting and Budget Information
The election of Millburn Board of Education members takes place during the November general election. As long as the school budget is under the state-mandated 2% cap, there is no longer an April school budget election.
Township residents who are interested in running for the Board of Education must submit their petitions to the Essex County Clerk in Newark by the last Monday in July.
In order to be eligible to vote, residents must be at least 18 years old, be United States citizens, have been living in the state and county for 30 days, and have been registered to vote at least 21 days before the election.
