MEND logoOne area that has been hit hard by this pandemic is our local food pantries.  Food pantries rely on volunteers to stock their shelves and distribute food, social distancing has made it very difficult for these pantries to stay open.  MEND (Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity) is an organization the district has worked closely with over the past few years.  MEND has been a recipient of our Thanksgiving food drive and January Souper Bowl; they service 20 pantries in Essex County.  MEND is doing their best to help these pantries stay open!  They are collecting food from various resources and getting it to the pantries that are still open.  MEND is now going online. Shop online and food will get delivered directly to the pantries in most need. https://yougivegoods.com/mendnj
