The Millburn Township Public School District recognizes that clear, accurate, and timely communication is essential to fostering trust, cooperation, and a strong sense of community with students, staff, families, and residents. The Office of Public Information and Community Outreach is responsible for providing high-quality, professional communications to and among district administration, staff, the Board of Education, parents, community members, and local media.

Through timely, relevant, and accurate information, the office works to ensure that families feel connected to their child’s school and to the district as a whole. By recognizing and celebrating the achievements of students and staff, we promote a culture of care, connection, and communication throughout Millburn Township Public Schools.

STAY INFORMED WITH DISTRICT COMMUNICATIONS

Millburn Township Public Schools use an automated notification system to keep families connected with important information from your child’s school and the district. This service is free for parents and guardians and sends alerts by email and phone. Families may also choose to receive text messages by opting in.

There is no need to sign up—all parent/guardian contact information is pulled directly from the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Parents are automatically enrolled. If you need to update your phone number or email address, simply log into PowerSchool, go to Forms, and complete the Contact Update Form.

You’ll receive timely messages such as:

  • School closings or emergency alerts

  • Announcements from the Superintendent and Board of Education

  • School newsletters

  • Attendance calls

  • Report card reminders

  • Parent organization updates

  • Notices of upcoming events

  • Cancellation notices

  • Calendar reminders
